Free public hotspots:
Xfinity is offering free access to public Xfinity WiFi Hotspots to anyone who needs them, including non-customers, through the end of 2020. Hotspots are available at outdoor and business locations, and can be found here.
Child Care / School Pods:
School pods is an in-person City of Fremont Recreation program where parents/guardians can drop off their child (grades 3rd - 8th) so they can receive assistance on their schoolwork from recreation staff. Students will be placed in “pods” by grade level where they’ll connect their devices to Wi-Fi and login for their online classes. When all schoolwork is completed, recreation staff will provide enrichment activities. The City provides discounts to low-income students and multiple sibling families. Financial Hardship:
The EDD (Employment Development Department) is making changes to allowable benefits related to employment changes due to COVID-19. For example, unemployment benefits are now available for people who cannot work OR must work reduced hours due to workplace reductions, school closure, and more.

Fremont Resource Center - The Fremont FRC is a welcoming place where families and individuals are nurtured, encouraged, and provided quality services to build on their own strengths to help themselves and others.
Family Paths -Family Paths, Inc. (formerly Parental Stress Service) is a non-profit organization of mental health professionals and dedicated volunteers that provide a number of mental health and supportive services to low income, multi-stressed individuals and families.

2. FUSD Technology Tutorials Website - Alphabetized topics based on learning technology activities that include videos and tutorials. Classroom Tools | Learning Apps | Logins Please note some tutorials are from external sources and no FUSD endorsement is intended.
3. Comcast is offering free internet during the coronavirus pandemic to help families stay connected online. Please either call 1-855-846-8376 or check on link.
4. Online Tutoring Support: Link to the FUSS website of turtoring supports for Fall 2020.
5. Khan Academy: free educational program and video tutorials on various subject areas for children two to seven years of age.
6. Brainfuse: free online live tutoring from 1pm to 10pm PST for library cardholders in Alameda county.
7. Audible: For as long as schools are closed, we're open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
